The Maritimes to Memphis challenge takes place on Sept 6,2026 @ 3pm at the Mic Mac Aquatic Centre.

The International Blues Competition takes place in Memphis, TN during Jan 19-23, 2027

The winners of the challenge are required to participate on the ECBS fundraiser event Blue Christmas scheduled for Dec 12, 2026, 7 pm at the Mic Mac Aquatic Centre.

Judges will evaluate each act using the Blues Foundation scoresheet and criteria.

Band members can only be entered in one band.

The ECBS will help defray costs and cannot guarantee that all expenses for Memphis will be covered.

The person submitting this application is responsible for ensuring that ALL Solo/Duo/Band members have read and agree to the ECBS Participation Agreement, ECBS and IBC Rules and Regulations, this is indicated by checking the box below on their behalf. These documents will be signed in person by all band members on the day of the competition prior to the start of your set.

ECBS's expectation is that when the Participation Agreement and the Rules & Regulations boxes are checked below, all members understand & agree with these requirements, failure to do so could result in a voided submission.

All participants must be able to prove that they can travel to US by supplying valid passport information.

Winners of the Maritimes to Memphis competition are required to attend a 2-hour virtual IBC Orientation Session at a mutually agreed upon time to be determined after the competition, before travel to Memphis.
